Chocolate Puma

Chocolate Puma is a DJ and record producer duo from Haarlem, Netherlands, consisting of René ter Horst (DJ Zki) and Gaston Steenkist (DJ Dobre).  Their union started up at the very beginning of the 1990s. Initially, they performed under other names: The Good Men, René Et Gaston, Klatsch!, F-Action, etc. Just find these names on Soundcloud and discover a collection of amazing old school house music! Today, over 29 years in the EDM industry, they became one of Netherlands’ most famous DJs and producers, whose influence on the European musical scene cannot be overemphasized. 



Their world career started from the hit «Give It Up» released on their record label Fresh Fruit in 1992. It reached #5 in UK Singles Charts and topped US Dance charts offhand. In 1994, they released their first album under the same name – «Father in the Bathroom».  It is no surprise that the guys had to work a lot under different names, in their early days they were carried away with various styles: house, techno, breakbeat, dance.  

In 2001, the Chocolate Puma project was born, the modern audience knows the duo by this name.  They started with releasing the single «I Wanna Be U», which became a hit. Then «Learning», «Star Is Born», «Always And Forever» followed. In such a way they said goodbye to all previous nicknames and kept working as Chocolate Puma. 

The duo fruitfully collaborated with such labels as Defected Records, Spinnin’ Records, Dim Mak Records, Mixmash Records. 

Such singles as «Step Back», «Space Sheep», «Scrub The Ground», «Lullaby», «Stars Are Mine», «Hippo», as well as numerous remixes were welcomed by the audience and ensured duo’s fame in the history of electronic music. They regularly perform in night clubs and fests all over the world, including Hï & Ushuaia Ibiza, Tomorrowland Belgium, Mysteryland The Netherlands, EDC & Omnia Las Vegas, Sensation Korea, Veld Festival Canada, Stereo Live USA.
