Probably one of the freshest, still-evolving even, style. Many consider it a combination of new bass music trends.

It appeared thanks to the influence of trap-wave artists, who eventually drifted towards something more lyrical.

The main components of the future bass sound are trap beats, a deep bass, striking keyboard progressions or chiptune synthesizers and a powerful rocking groove. It is much softer and more lyrical than classic trap, although it is written with the same basic rules and tools. Future bass is often inspired by chill trap, abstract hip-hop, downtempo, glitch-hop, neo soul and R&B.

Unlike most popular electronic music styles, future bass doesn’t have a specific ‘founder’ or ‘birth date’, although many are inclined to believe that this genre’s main trends and rules were introduced by the Australian label Future Classic, and the most popular producer today could be considered Flume from Australia.

Artists in the genre: Coleanel, Marshmello, San Holo, Illenium, The Chainsmokers, Haywyre, Flume, Чет ФейкерChet Faker, Odesza, Ta-Ku, Louis Futon, Kaytranada, Lido, Troyboi, Hudson Mohawke, Rustie, Ekali.
